The California Energy Association recently sent out a press release stating that California has launched a $38 Millon project for EV charging in low-income disadvantaged communities as of September 13, 2023.
This project will be affecting 28 counties in both Northern and Southern California. Applications can be sent through December 12, 2023. Applicants must be in low-income and disadvantaged communities. Rebates for charging equipment can cover 50 percent of a project’s total costs or up to $100,000 based on charger capacities.
The release states: "Interested property owners and managers, EV service providers, electrical contractors and others can learn about project requirements and how to apply for funding by watching the webinar Upcoming DCFC Incentives for Northern and Southern Californ hosted by the Center for Sustainable Energy."
